§ 46-42. Emergency situations.

The requirements of this article in the obtaining of a permit to enter a street prior to actual entry thereon shall not apply when an emergency exists, which emergency could affect the public health, safety and welfare, provided that all of the requirements of the procedures and methods for cutting and the restoration of streets as set forth in this article, or as provided for in this article, shall be complied with in strict conformance therewith. The director of public works shall be notified of any such cut or entry within three days of such activity.
