§ 50-145. School zones.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any vehicle at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour in any school zone during a period of time of 60 minutes prior to and 30 minutes following the times when such school begins and ends its daily schedule.

(b)

For the purposes of this section, a school zone shall be deemed to be that portion of any street abutting any school property for a distance not to exceed 500 feet on either side of such school property.
