§ 2-161. Extension of coverage.

The city council, to the extent of its lawful authority and power, does hereby extend to its eligible employees and eligible groups and classes of such employees, including temporary, part-time temporary and part-time regular employees of the city, the benefits authorized by title II of the federal social security act, as amended, and as authorized by G.S. 135-19 et seq.
