§ 2-33. Special meetings.
Latest version.
The mayor, or a majority of the city council, shall have the power to call a special meeting of the council at any time, upon notice given at least 48 hours before the meeting and must state the time and place of the meeting and its purpose. No business shall be transacted at such meeting except that for which it is called; provided, however, that additional business may be conducted at such special meeting upon a two-thirds vote of approval thereof by the council.
